Is it normal for the engine to be juddery when it's belting down with rain?
I got caught in a downpour on the A38 last night and noticed the engine wasn't as reponsive and didn't sound like it was firing properly. |

I've got a K3 and mine did the same. It's a nightmare especially as i had numb hands at the time, had only just started riding and had no idea what it was. Particularly interesting if the second cylinder comes back into play when negotiating a tight corner or something.

Mines been splutering a bit now and again just lately and I have a fender extender. Though I have done a lot of wet miles, I'll have to have a look at the front plug this weekend. Though it might be the airfilter pulling to much water though... its servicing time....

I've got K1 and so far I've never had a problem with this and yes it does get ridden in all weathers. I've got lowers so I dont know if they help keep the rain off the front pot

Mines a K1 so it might be something else, though as it every now and again I'm inclinded to think its the front plug playing up. Probably the drain hole blocked up.

+1 for the carb springs, on the carbed bike anyway- don't bother with the injected as you don't have any, so they won't be sticky
![]() If it's a wer plug, I've found that just seriously splatching on the non-conductive grease did a world of good for mine.
