Default Sidi Black Rain 'Scuffs'

I have just noticed a big scuff on the left front outside toe area on my black rains,(where toe sliders would be) its pretty deep. Will this effect the waterproof abilities of the boot? Not sure how it even got there

Short answer is probably. If it looks like it's split at all, then water is almost certainly going to get in.
That's why I'm not buying black rains next time, they just split at the front too easily and they can't handle touching the tarmac, either.
