Default Lowers on the Naked K1

does anyone know anyone who has put fairing lowers onto an unfaired bike? does it look totally ridiculous / is it practical?

I want something to protect the downpipe/underside of the bike, and was thinking of a belly pan, but of course the full lowers cover more area

Any thoughts / advice / etc. would be much appreciated

Full Fairing doesn`t protected the downpipe much anyway even on the S model..

If you want to get a lower fairing, you should have got the S me thinks. I got the naked to show the bike off, not get it covered up. And as jonboy has said, just autosol the pipe two or three times a week. Once its nice and shiney in only takes a few minutes to keep it looking that way.

Bellypans do a far better job of protecting the bike regardless- at least on your bike. The lowers for the proper SV have a big hole in the bottom and the front so they only offer minimal protection, but a bellypan encloses the underneath nicely. Fender extender and, say, the Pyramids bellypan will get you about as much protection as can be got with bodywork.
