Default Check my rivet!

OK my bikes finally back together and the new chain has been riveted.

I'd be grateful if those in the know could inspect it for me. Either way I'll know in a few miles...

...here's to another 15,000miles.

It's fine as far as the riveting goes, just so long as the side plate is fitted such that the 'O', (or 'X'), rings are sealing correctly and not crushed, simply put ; if the link is the same width as the others it's OK.

Looks good, what did you use to do the job? I am about to tackle my first chain and sprocket swap, any tips?

Cheers,

Mark

use a chain rivetting tool,
also the front sprocket is very tricky to get off.
leave it in gear and take the front sprocket off first.

you cant really go wrong . . . its easier than walking.
