Default Brakes binding?

Getting back on the bike after a couple of weeks lay off, I noticed that the it was very difficult to move whilst in neutral, as if the brake were being applied. After riding for a bit they seem to free up, but the same problem seems to happen after leaving it for a day, although not as bad.

Could this be the brakes, or could it be the wheel bearings?

Any suggestions welcome.

Most unlikely to be the wheel bearings, the finger of suspicion points at the brakes, but you knew that.

Easy way to tell if it is the brakes.

Ride for about half a mile, then get off and see if any disk is hot or turning blue.

I suspect you have the fronts binding - they suffer easily will road salt on the caliper seals

turns out one of the pins was seized, and it needed freeing.
