Default would this be illegal....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...959597388&rd=1

I need a numberplate light as my bike has had the snow plough removed. But would this numberplate light be too bright???
And has anyone else seen anyother lights that look cool and are legal?

Cheers

I've removed the snowplough from mine & fitted a hammicad instead, but I've still got the original rear indicators & numberplate light - what happened to yours

www.hamicad.co.uk they don't come with lights, but the original one fits.

I'm inclined to think that number plate light would be fine. Should look ok if the wires can be hidden properly.

What does the plug look like?
I'm inclined to think it was from the light if it looks a bit like the standard connectors under the seat.

I spoke to the MOT tester at my local dealer today about this.

Apparantly, whilst there is a requirement for the plate to be illuminated, it does not have to be a 'white' light. Therefore, if it is lit by your rear red light then that will be legal!

nice one matt! The plate is lit by the rear (red) lights, so that should do

Thanks

If the plug under your (pillion?) seat look something like this (the white sqaure bit)

It is prolly a connector to charge you battery. It's handy thing to have because you have to remove at least four bolts to get at the battery (is access improved on the new shape )

Anyway, it beats messing about with crocodile clips...
