Default Broken Mirror Help

I am sure theres an easy answer to see one but I dont know it. The mirror dosen,t seem to hold its position and I cant see an obvious answer. I am peeled back the rubber casing to see if there was a spanner adjustment to tighten it up but couldnt see anything. Will I need to get a shop to do repairs or can it be done by myself. The bikes on a X which I believe is 2001 or there abouts plate if that helps.

As you said; 'rubber casing' I assume you have an 'S'.

If you're talking about the mirror knuckle then no, unless you want to try removing the mirror glass, there's nowt you can do with it.
If you're having trouble with the pivot at the lower end of the arm, you could try giving the rivet a squeeze, there's no bolt to tighten, failing that you need a new one.
