Hey guys, just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. I picked up a 2005 SVS the other day, and after about 25 miles, it started to misfire horribly. Took it back to the shop, they said it was a connector but didnt say specifically what connector. would have to be a coil pack or spark plug, or battery issue IMO. Anyways, they said they got it started working again, so i rode it home but it was too cold to ride to work that day. Put my accesories on in the next few days, and then yesterday was very nice so i rode to work, all good. Rode home from work, all good. Got home, parked in the garage, got off the bike, and it started mis-firing again!!!! the RPM's go from 1,000 to 1500 and back down and back up constantly and you can feel in the exhaust its a misfire. Anyone else have problems like this, and did your dealer tell you teh problem, since my dealer seems to be ignorant on how to fix this bike. Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!

your dealer should be taking this problem more seriously get down there and tell them to get it sorted ASAP the ecu unit will tell them the problem once they plug it into there pc with the software installed. you have just spent best part of 6 grand on a bike dont be rude but be assurtive.

Thanks for the replies guys. I took it back to the dealership just now and they are going to call Suzuki on monday. It just sux cuz its going to be the first nice weekend we've had here, and now I'm bikeless again.

I dont think they connect the ecu to the computer, they are not that complex. There is a service plug under the rear seat, with a rubber cover on it. You need to bridge the two pins and if there are any problems it will give an error code on the speedo.

Is it or have you made it wet? Doesnt sound completely like it but check the front plug connection tight and sealed well. If it hasnt been wet ignore this.
