Default next question? what are the best rear set for me!!

the standard rear set are all worn & looking shabby on my k4 sv650s which one's should i be looking to buy now?? they have to be road legal & not make my wallet to light any ideas people

I don't have any direct experience with rearsets, but if you are replacing your hangers, I'll take the old ones off your hands.

You've only had the bike a few months! Try some Autosol.

What he said. take em off, take am apart, clean with parrafin and a rag (great stuff) , rinse well, back to new look with autosol.

The paint comes off really badly on the heel plates. If you can be bothered they're worth polishing back to metal.
I doubt autosol will do much good without taking the rest of the paint off, though.

just wondering if some of the more knowledgable people here could explain a few things to me.

whats
autosol
wet + dry

could i use sandpaper to remove the old paint and restore the metal look ?
also, if i do this - do you recon its just an invitation for the rust ?

Hey,

Like the other guys have mentioned, polish them up. If your getting rearsets because the pair on the SV look bad... Then just polish them. But if you want a better set of rearsets that is a different story that I have no knowledge in. See below:

Elbow grease mixed with extra strong elbow grease. And no they don't stay like that, you'll have to apply some er elbow grease on a regular basis to keep them shiny.
