One of my old army colleagues has asked me to go to Germany with him to one of our old army barracks for a reunion. There will hopefully be four of us going over there.
I am looking to hire/borrow/steal etc ![]() I had to sell my K4 sv650s in January for family reasons and have regretted it ever since ![]() Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers ![]() |

Says on the ad no depo if you pay over the phone by credit card. I think £75 a day including insurance for an R6 ain't too bad, they must expect peeps to cane the bike.

fyi I contacted the company about hiring the VN800 for a weekend.
The charges are very excessive - here's the email... ----- Thanks for the Interest in Hiring from us. The VL800 Cruiser Has the following rates: 7 Day Week £350.00 4 Day Weekend £275.00 Day Rate £95.00 All these costs include fully comprehensive insurance Their is a minimum age of 25 This bike carries a deposit of £700 that can be secured on a credit or debit card manually. (we don't take the money from your account ,just a manual copy of your card and ask you to sign a form allowing us to claim up to the max of £700 if the bike is stolen or the damage is more than the deposit.) If you had a slide of and lets say knocked a mirror off etc. we would just charge you for that bit plus a fitting charge. We don't cover punctures or tyre damage or undue wear (burnt out ) but normal wear and tear is fine. If you wanted to secure the bike for a date you have the option of paying a £30 non refundable deposit and that will keep that period for you so as to avoid disappointment. However you turn up and take a chance that your chosen bike will be available. The bikes go out on hire with unlimited mileage You would need to bring with you Your licence (both parts if new type) 2 further forms of ID like a passport and utility bill We take a digital picture of you in our office Providing you have none of the above on your license your free to hire from us: Careless driving Dangerous driving Drink or Drugs driving Unauthorized Taking Motor racing on the highway 3 or more driving offences equivalent offences in Northern Ireland ---- Seems a lot. £700 deposit to cover theft/damage? No thanks, that's what insurance is for. Plus the charges are higher than what they quote on the website. Martin |
