Did mine for the first time ever a few weeks ago.

Only real problem is getting the cap off the front carb to attach the vac guage pipe, and getting it back on again.

A pair of thin, long nose pliers would have come in very handy.

Still managed it though with the help of Mr Haynes.

Good luck

As Clunk said. It is not difficult, just fiddly. I have left a length of hose coming from the front carb which I have left in place permanently, so next time I have to balance the buggers it won't be so much of a pain.

As Scoobs says. I fitted a short length of hose to the front, just enough to bring the end out near the radiator bottom hose so it's easy to connect up to in future. I fitted a short piece of steel/bundy tube into the hose, and then used the original cap to close it off.
