Default New Road Regulations for Bikes (IMPORTANT)

In the MCN 20/04/2005.

(Admin2 Edit: I've changed the image to a link as we don't want SV650.org getting into copyright issues as this is a scan of a recent MCN)

all sounds good to me. i was driving my car around bedford last night and couldntg believe the number of raods signs about. alot of the roads were unlit and with full beam on i could see loads of signs! far, far too many for me to take in. i ended up not reading any of them.

and god knows why we cant use bus lanes already. i know u can use some, but half thepeople dont dare as they're not sure which they can and cant.

Woohoo! And it's not even April the 1st!

This sort of stuff is seriously good... ok it will take several years for it to come to fruition but it all sounds great... mmm bus lanes would be very good for me.

They're going to be trialling the first road marking, crossing, pavement and sign-free street (Exhibition road, London) pretty soon... removing all the road furniture so peds and vehicles are on the same area, but with a 20 limit and vehicles have to let peds do their thing. Should be "interesting" - either it'll work out fine, or I can have some slalom practice using peds instead of cones...

Sounds like Soho on a Friday night, except we don't go round them, just give them a tap with the mirrors on the way through.

So true. But ive never tapped anyone with my mirror

Hooligans.

There are a couple of MPs who are bikers and fight for this sort of stuff. Heres hoping they know about this and get involved with pushing it thru.

but i'm not holding my breath, sounds far too good to be true...or else how will they expect bikers to payfor it? Higher road tax for bikes maybe? Cynical? Moi?
