Default cut out when reving up

Hi,

Has anyone with a K3 onwards ever had a problem with the bike cutting out when they rev it from tick over?

Mine sometimes just dies and when a friend of mine took it out he said the same thing, I think it is when the throttle is turned quick.

Anyone got any Ideas where to start looking?

Cheers

Mine would do this if i rev it before it is warmed up. I spoke to suzuki and they told me not to start up, get on and drive but to let it warm up to atleast 50oC. Hasn't happened since.

Depends on whether it's happening at low to mid throttle openings or when you get on the throttle hard.

Can't help you with the former two but it's most likely the throttle position sensor for the latter (assuming the bike is warm enough).

Having said that one of my race bikes turned out to have a duff ECU that was doing exactly the same thing! Didn't matter how we programmed it with the Yoshi or Teka boxes it really did need a change of ECU to get it to work!

Hi,

It happends when you blip it most or say your at the lights and as you turn the throttle to pull away it cuts out as if it is flooding I suppose.

How do you check the throttle sensor?

Many thanks
