Default TRE Mod

Is it worth doing it this way rather than in the how-to section taking into account that my mechanical knowledge and skills are somewhat limited..

This TRE looks like the plug in variety, it's very easy to fit:

1. Take seat(s) off
2. unplug connector from ECU and plug into one end of TRE
3. plug other end of TRE back into ECU

Couldn't be any easier really. I've got one on my gixer - can't say I noticed a big difference to be honest, but for 16.99 it's probably worth a try.

why dont you take it out and see if you can notice any differance at all? If you cant then surley its gotta be better for the bike to leave it out?

It's a switchable one, and it's hardwired in - unlike the plug-in variety shown here. So I've just switched it off for now. Got a power commander instead - now that did make a big difference!

It wont work on a SV650 unless you do what I did which is swap the fuel tank sender/Pump connector shell with the TRE shell as this will convert it to the same as the Busa I know as I own one and invented the TRE for it back in 1999.

I dont really want to go around changing anything that may void the warranty. All I want to do is enhance what I have.

I did the TRE mod on mine and noticed a hell of a differance in 2nd and 3rd. seemed to pick up alot quicker and had more power lower down in the revs, also if you take it out when bike due a service no one will notice to void warrenty.

Which one did you use? The plug-in type one or the one in the How-to section of the site?
