Default Kmh or Mph?

Just sitting here reading the latest copy of RiDE (May) and came across on page 78 Q & A section, a question regarding converting the Speedo from kmh to mph by a rider of a k3 SVs in Germany. Fair enough good question.

It’s the reply that really surprised me. Ride recommend that the rider buys a Motrax electronic converter for £60.

So are SV650s k3 different in Germany? cause I’ve converted mine to kmh by accident (and back again) by just pressing a few buttons. Cost £0.00.

So if RiDE would like to send me £60 I’ll tell ‘em how to do it.

Can't remember - I think it's as simple as pressing the adjust button.

Just been out to check, how sad is that.

All you do is..

Press the Select button until you get the ODO reading then hold down the Adjust button until the Speedo switches over.

had the bike nearly 2 years and only found out about this function a couple of weeks ago, the bike came back from a service and for some reason the read out was in KPH so after messing about with the buttons it changed back to MPH.

Yes the German Speedo or Tachometer is diffrent, it only has Kph and not Mph...'cos I had to buy the internal PCB on my arrival back into the UK
