Default SilverSV down but not out

Finally had bit of a run in with something a bit bigger than me after 4 years on the road in London. The usual, someone not quite looking as much as they should have done and me not taking account of the unexpected. Car was stationary behind a bus at a bus stop, road clear ahead. I went to overtake, expecting he might not look and pull out at me, which he did. I was ready for that and left enough space for that eventuality. However, it never crossed my mind that he'd be turning right towards an almost invisible gated entrance and that did catch me out.

Rapidly ran out of options and my left lower fairing took most of the beating against his front right wing. That would have been it had I not then taken out a metal post head on - wish they wouldn't put those things at the side of roads! Body is fine as I did the usual commando roll to get out of trouble and only injury is a nice bruise on my lower back where I hit curb. Bike a bit bashed in, so will be on the look out for a few bits of plastic and metal for anyone out there who can help...

Watch out there folks - yet another proven incident of you snooze - you lose!

Well, if ive understood the circumstances correctly it sounds like Silversv was basically making an overtake and the car turn right into a driveway across his path - the problem is that he was making an overtake. Take the bike out of the situation and imagine the same with two cars?
