a hamcid fender does the job u utlise the oringinal number plate light & indicators the old unit comes clean off no cutting required thou i found it helped to make a small cut cos there are four awarked bolts at the back.

The K2 is totally different to the K3 onwards.

If you are desparate to fit an arsend, look forward to some chopping and sawing. This site demonstrates how http://www.sv650.tk/

Alternatively you could just fit an aftermarket undertray. The OEM Suzuki one keeps the numberplate light and bolts straight on without any cutting.

Check the Undertray thread in Bodywork also - http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=1793
