Hi , new SV owner here, ordered a black 05 (best looking of the pointy ones IMO) on friday and will get it next week if I'm lucky.
Was thinking of keeping it stock for a while - right..:P but I don't think I'll be able to leave it alone for very long when I get it. My list so far includes: Viper slip-on (I'm in Norway, it'll be okay as long as the noise is not to excessive) Fender eliminator - gotta get rid of that ugly contraption on the rear. fenda extenda - it can rain bad in Norway too Chrash bungs - guess its better to put them on before I go down... Tank bag - got some prices on Oxford and Timberwolf stuff, any recommendations here? The Humpback series seems nice.. Edit: forgot my main question: got a quote on a Viper can from slickbike.co.uk , they said the can was listed as "99 and newer" - does the 05's use the same end cans as the earlier models? Any comments & recommendations would be nice, thanks, Ivar |

![]() Haven't heard the viper slip-ons so I can't really comment on if it's good or not but anything that replaces the ugly stock one is a bonus. Hamicad seem to be the favoured fender replacement http://www.hamicad.co.uk/ Fender Extender is recommended. They can be had for about £12 off ebay Crash bungs are a good idea to save yo usmashing things up as badly when you have the inevitable drop. I've got the Oxford sport tankbag and I'm very happy with it. Perhaps the next thing on your list should be a respray to silver as it really is the fastest colour. ![]() Quote:
You might get it cheaper off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...974525212&rd=1 HTH |

I've got the Oxford Humpback panniers. They can withstand a shower or two without the rain covers, are fairly easy to fit, and are quite roomy.
The Hamicad fender eliminator would be a good choise to remove the snowshovel, they even make a stainless one now. |

Hello and welcome.
I've just got a viper and it sounds so much better than the stock exhaust, i also have the oxford sports range of luggage which is ideal and fits nicely on the bike. |

Are there any sound bites of the Viper race can knocking about.
Would be nice to hear what they sound like, cuz thats a great price for a brand new one! |

Welcome - guess there's some real nice biking roads in Norway.
Re. cans - Viper oval looks better on ebay pic. Worth the extra £15 for me. Anyone know how these sound with baffle fitted ? Nice lookin / nice soundin / road legal can for that price is tempting. |

Thanks all,
the prices I got from slickbikes are: Viper can with baffle , £133 including shipping to Norway Oxford humpback , £56 Timberwolf exp. tank bag , £34 P&G frame protectors , £65 for a pair To me those prices seems reasonable, I guess i could save a little here&there but I'll need to keep it in one shipment to keep the shipping costs down. And BTW, will I need to order the linkpipe too when ordering the Viper can? Edit: can comes with everything I need. |
