Default Fitted a Hamicad and now I have a leaky rear end......

Is the Hamicad meant to fit flush to the body work? Because mine doesn't perfectly and I have a slight leakage issue after riding in the rain yesterday.

Has anyone else had this? And what's the best soloution to it? I was tinking of clear sealent or tape on the inside.

*waits for jokes about needing to see a doctor*

I've been thinking of getting one of these and been holding off as I was concerned about water getting in, either through gaps in the fitting or just because the bit that you take off looks pretty effective at stopping water being thrown up (despite looking awful). Will be interesting to see if other peeps have had problems

I'm sure someone who actually has one fitted will be along shortly ...

Well, no it's not going to be a perfect fit... The Suzuki one wasn't, and it was only due to the fact that it was so large and cumbersome that you didn't notice the wateringress then!

If you want things to be a little more watertight, I suggest you nip down to B&Q, and buy a dispenser of silicone sealant (like used around your bath), and get busy with sealing up the gaps and joints!

You can buy a clear one - so don't be a numpty and get the white one, you bike isn't your bathroom!

The snowplough looked as thought it was a perfect fit and it didn't let any water in.

Isn't it? I was wondering why it didn't have a shower attachment.......
I did say in my original post I was thinking about clear sealant on the inside, I maybe be a numpty sometimes but I'm not that bad.
