Default Latest News - My bike is to be written off.

Well, got a phone call today asking me to leave my bike available to be picked up for storage as the assessor has declared it a write off.
Rather a shock to me considering the damage, I can only think cus its done over 32,000 miles. Not much I would think but, hey I'm not an insurance company.
I've contacted the insurance company and have arranged to have it left at my place, and made them aware that I would be interested in buying it back once they have an idea of the write off class. They have also told us that the recovery company have not admitted liability, so at the moment I'm at fault and have again lost all my no claims, after just getting it back from the last claim. I also will have to cover the 300 quid excess, which is just what I got back from the last claim too. Doh!, give it with one hand, and take it with another.
Jax has also spoken to White and Dalton who think I have a good claim for personal injury due to the bruising on my knee, and my back and neck pain.

More info about the whole thing is here:

Not really what you need at the moment, is it mate.

if they don't know about the accessories, then have them before the assessor sees the bike.

Unlucky mate but there is a good side to this, maybe with the money you get for it and your injuries you might even be able to stretch for something like the SV1000.

Also if you do get White Dalton to deal with it then I would personally recommend Wayne Weir, he's one of their barristors. He has been very good with my claim and is always happy to speak with me and explain things, and he has a good taste in bikes, he rides an SV1000.

hi mate...cant belive they havnt admitted liability...there taking the **** arnt they???

personally i wouldnt bother claiming of your own ins....push them through the courts if you have tooo after all was it ur fault.....no...therefore y should u have to claim of ur insurance???.....

im sory to hear this and hope u can get the to admit liability...every time any of my vehicles has been on a truck u always get a chit that u have to sign declaring any damage done..... surley this was the case with yours????
