If your front brake is taking quite a lot of pulling to get on does it need bleeding??
If yes how do you do that then?? (nearly mechanical minded!!) ![]() |

could be a few things, pad material low, needing bled, or theres old crappy fluid in there

The best mod I found money can but is to invest in some quality pads, the originals don't seem all that good.

New fluid, braided lines and EBC HH pads. Good as you'll get, without resorting to serious expenditure.

Most likley the brake lever pivot needs lubing, Remove the lever and clean the bush, Lube and reinstall. Needs doing every year.

I lokked at the EBC HH pads earlier which were about £50 for the front. Is that a good price??
Where & how much for the braded hose?? Are they easy to fit as I am mechanical as a squirrel (with no arms!!) ![]() |

All these upgrades are good but wont really improve much if the calipers are grotty, Sometimes the money is better spent on maintainence, ie make sure the caliper pistons are nice and free, without the dust seals hanging out and the sliders are all in good nick before investing in an upgrade.
These calipers have always been prone to seizing up as the pistons are quite a long way out of the caliper with alot of room for muck to build up |
