New bike shop in the city - SV650.org

It used to be metropolis, now its Square Mile Motorbikes. Just been for a browse after having a flyer stuck to me bike yesterday and the place seems to be quite nice. No leather gear at the moment (still building up stock lines), only a few gloves, 2 models of Sidi boots but a good few Shoei's at decent prices and while the textile stuff is on the expensive side, it does look like good gear.

Run by a guy who races in the supertwins series and I think it's nice to see a bike shop in the city and one where you can chew the fat a bit about our favourite subject as well.

I'm hoping they don't go out of business before they get going!

They've been 'open' about 2-3 weeks now but still don't have a sign up saying who they are or any prices etc on the bikes inside the window. It looks more like a bike museum at the moment! Haven't popped in there yet but a mate I work with went in looking for some 'emergency' clutch fluid and they gave him a bottle for free!! Guess they weren't geared up for selling anything to punters at the time!

I know metropolis always had a reputation for being overpriced, and maybe they're trying to shake off the image, but that's going a bit too far!

What they need in that place is a workshop and tre fitting etc. Now that would have been better.

I was totaly underwhelmed by the shop to be honest
