well in three weeks anyway!

phoned up ccc today and got quoted a good price on an oval, coloured titanium twin port road legal can

you can see what it looks like on a blade here:

its the 6th one down on the right

but i'll have to wait until the end of the month until i can afford it

so peeps, how hard are they to fit?

and is titanium the way to go?

road legal my **** have a pair of circlip pliers at the ready!

Not a major job but needs a bit of hacksawing to get the standard can off,cant just swap it. Tell your bloke to make himself useful and do it for you

Never had titanium but its light and durable. If bbcs can is anything to go off itll sound sweet

I have a ccc can on mine, though mine is carbon rather than titanium. From what ive read on here mostly, carbon isnt the best material for a vtwin. So imo titanium is the best choice, stronger than carbon, and almost as light.
As a few from the here can confirm, the sound of ccc cans are awesome.

And its loud enough to get your neighbour to call the police on you

titanium is nice, but really with cans you're choosing the finish more than anything else.
Carbon can get worn out if you don't look after the packing but Ti can also heat up quite badly for the same reasons. That's why you sometimes see a badly discoloured Ti can.

Its fairly easy to do, You will need to cut your original pipe work though, so you'll need a hacksaw or an angle grinder.

I used a hacksaw, just dont do what I did and cut your heel plates with the saw

One tip I would give you is to measure twice and cut once as my dad always tells me.

Just take your time and dont try and rush it and you'll be fine. If you have any doubt what so ever about doing this then dont get somebody who does know what they are doing to do it for you or help you do it.

I have a titanium can, but only because I looked the look of that one best on my bike ( yes I am a tart )

Just hack away at it and hope for the best, like I did, and be prepared for how heavy the standard piece of **** is when it comes off.

i think carbon is poop for twins - left side on my tl shattered at the rivets, it was wobbling about on the mounting bolt whilst on the motorway!!

sounded a bit odd too!

to sort discoloured ti cans, buy a ready coloured one!!

ive got a ccc ss oval on mine sounds great(get the baffle out ,a 4mm drill to remove the pop rivet and keep the baffle under ur seat just in case)my mate had the titanium one on his k4 and it sounded very similiar to mine .good choice and all the cans on a sv req cutting (i think) but its not a big deal.you can use a hacksaw but it takes ages to cut the connecting pipe,use an angle grinder but be careful not to grind the swing arm/any bit that you shouldnt.dont be put off by any of this just take your time and prepare to hear the thunder
