Default "Resurrected" indicator housing legal?

So clever old me managed to drop my 650SK3 the very evening after picking it up from the dealer, toppled at 0mph
Crash bobbins did the business, no damage save a broken indicator housing. The orange lens was broke in two, that superglued back together like it never happened, the black casing is now mummified in black tape. Reckon it is waterproof, looks well enough, works, job done.
But should I happen to meet a member of the polis, or come MOT next year, anyone know if my handiwork will cause me problems?

Well my girlfriend has had a very visible cracked headlight lens in her car for 3 years and it has passed 3 MOTs like that.

i belive that the indicator should not show white light, but cracks are fine. My car passed it mot with half a fog light lens - the garage covered the other half with black tape.

I had a similar situation where I ended up with a cracked front right indicator. Upon finding the replacement cost (cant remember but it was stupid high!) I decided to get some cheap small smoked replacements for the back which cost about 7 quid. then one of the back indicators was used on the front as they are the same size, just need to swap wire over so you have the correct fitting for a front indicator, and you need a spare nut as the thread is longer on the rears.

you would never know the difference!!!!

The cost of a new replacement front indicator for a k3 sv650s is about £28 and it is complete APART from the nut to secure it!!!
