Default Metal rod under seat

Hi, sorry for the noob question! I've just fitted a hamicad rear fender and found out there is nowhere for the tool kit to go. I also found a longish bar, looks like some kind of tool, about 12" long with a couple of bends in it. What is it for?!?

Its a K3 SV650S. I have removed the bar and the tool kit.

That bar sounds like the fuel tank prop, for when you want to have the fuel tank up when working on the bike... anyone else second this?

The rod sounds like the one that holds the tank up when you are working under it

The tool roll should sit under the main seat(ish) in a little box that is accessable from the LHS(chain side)

the bar is to prop the fuel tank up.

surprised there is nowhere to stash the tool kit, you really ought to carry it with you just in case if you can.

OK cheers.

Whats a tool roll? Also, I lost one of the small black poppers when taking off the rear fairing. Anyone know where I can get a replacement?

I've lost both of them little black thingys. Can't say there's any issue with the panels without them, they are held fairly sturdy. TBH I couldn't be bothered to get hold of any more.

What have you filled the underseat area with to not have room for the toolkit and tank prop?

Yeah, you should still have space under the seat. I got a hamicad rear fender eliminator and I still have my tool kit, scottoiler reservoir, tank prop and a lightweight rucksack under my seat, and there is still room for a sandwich!
