I did north of france to south of portugal in August.

It was hot, make sure you are not running soft compound tires, they will just get wasted half way through your holiday. A set of Z6 are good in the hot weather out there plus they last a long time.

I would after an experiance i had, take some engine oil, mabey on 1L in a bottle. Its hard to find oil in spain if you are not in the main towns. There are not many places you can buy it from.

Check everything on your bike.
-take spare bulbs
-paperwork copy it and take two sets in diffrent bags
-take spare key for all locks and alarm fob (keep in safe place)
-tyre presure tester (station ones are awful)
-oh and even if you have a tinted visor get Fog City visor and attach it to the inside of your tinted visor to make it darker (its realy hot and you will need it) but of course take a standard one as well for the night time and for your return
-take water proofs just incase (it does rain bad)
-tool kit for most things
-also get a tyre puncture repair kit, last thing you want it a flat tyre and no help, consider that tyre goo stuff to prevent blowouts in the first place
-take some zip ties and gaffa tape (you never know you may need to fix something)
-ear plugs (several packs)

There are loads of things, but i probably was over the top when i went. But my journey was 3500miles so i had to make sure of everything as i was riding alone.

I did add an accessory plug to the bike so i could charge my phone up and also power it so i could use the GPS & listen too some music some times.

As i had some spare space i did pack some bits like spare brake/clutch levers, gear pedal. Just because i had the bits & incase.

Make sure you have a number plate that says 'UK' or get a sticker to put on it that shoes the EU simbol and 'UK'.
