Hi,
I have a fault with my meta alarm and would like to remove it from my loom. Has anyone done this or knows how to do it? I am quite experienced enough to be able to patch up etc but need to know what to reconnect once the alarm witing is out. The dealer wont take the alarm out so I must have a go. Any help appreciated. I had a problem with mine, but just replaced the alarm unit itself with a secondhand one. What model is it, mine was a 357T the version 1, not the TV2. I know for sure with the 357T's the pin outs on all the alarm units are the same, so you can just connect up another beasty.

Evening.
It all depends on how well the alarm was fitted in the first place. If it was fitted well it'll be a pain to remove ![]() Quite often a lot of the original wire will have been removed so you will need to use a length of suitable wire in it's place. Make proper soldered connections, and use adequate sleeving on the joints. Take your time, have a wiring diagram to hand, and don't forget to DISCONNECT THE BATTERY before diving in with the sidecutters ![]() Cheers. |
