clarify, do you mean the bit under the seat that the tank hindges on??

i'm sfter the long bar that fits into the base of the tank and locates into the frame when you lift the tank. Its kept under the seat i thin.

Get a bit of wood and stick a nail in it. orks as well as standard and you feel all practical too

Ah so thats what it is for! I'l have to search through my bin in the garage, I didn't understand what it was so in true American Military style - I got rid of it!
