Default Quads

Any one know what license you need are they classed as a car or bike??
Are they exspensive to insure?
as the Wife wants one.
After a year on a scooter she decided to try a car but did not get on with it
She failed her car test severall times and then gave up and now relies on me for transport.

if you want to ride a quad on the road you must have either a car licence or a b1 class motorcycle licence. the law changed in 1998 for quads and reliants on bike licences. if she has got an A class then she cant. hope this nhelps. cheers. jamie

don't think they are what you could call cheap to insure & you have to pay the same road tax as a small car so i've been told, i must admit i like the look of some of them but can't really see them as practical - same down sides of a bike(cold & wet) & car (getting stuck in traffic).
