Hello,
Myself and the sv have started our relationship badly. I've only had it just over a week and tonight I dropped it on the floor. I thought the side stand was down however when I leant it over it soon became apparent that it wasn't fully extended ! Could somebody please advise me as to the costs of the following items and the best place to source them from. * gear lever * barend I've also got some scratches at the bottom of the fairing lowers, but it's not the end of the world. I was thinking of getting a paintstick from banditmania and touching it up, can I get a decent finish doing this ? Other than that I am enjoying the bike, I've moved onto it from a bandit 600 and it's a very different experience (which I expected), the bandit has more on the top end and revs higher than the sv (faster ?) but the sv pulls from much lower and seems to handle much better which is the main reason that I bought it. I've been lurking on here for a while so I'm hopeful that I'll get some useful answers ![]() oh yeah, it's a silver k3. |

Oh dear, sorry to hear about your misfortune... The paintsticks aren't great- they're a patch at best IMO, but it does look better than patches of visible plastic if it's that bad. Have a good crack at it with a rubbing compound first though.
You might want to consider some crash bungs... I'd not be without them.

Yeah thanks, I was planning to get some crash bungs as I've got a track day coming up at oulton park, I wasn't expecting to damage the bike in such a noddy fashion though !
Any idea how much gear levers are ? I read a previous post of yours talking about tapping out a thread for an m8 bolt which sounds like a good idea, however I don't really have the tools for the job. ta Tom |

It's amazing what a strategically placed "Suzuki" decal can hide

Just called dealer - £35.94 + VAT, will take 1 week to arrive though, so a mate of mine has offered to fix it with either a weld or a bolt for nowt !
Jelster, nice idea with the decal I may well do that ! ta Tom |

Northwind, that is a very kind offer thank you. I may well take you up on it if I get stuck, I am however hoping to get it back repaired from my friend tomorrow.
Cheers Tom |
