Just fitted my stainless steel oval CCC can and can not believe how much better the bike sounds. Sounds like I remember V-Twins used to sound in the old days with a very satisfying pop on overrun. I managed 6 months on the standard can then decided to bite the bullet and invest in something a bit noisier.
I have left the baffels in although to be honest I can not see how it will make it any quieter as it just seems to be a slightly smaller diameter short bit of tube within the can. Does anyone know if it makes much difference taking it out? Although if it does manke a difference I'll probably give it six months in then take it out for a whole new exhaust experience. The can and linkpipe is only £110 (+ £7.50 p&P) from CCC via e-bay which is a bargain. They even give you a bit of pipe to rejoin the original can if you need to. Seems well made and their customer service is fantastic. According to the man at CCC they will not be any cheaper at the bike show(s) and they have no plans to sell them any cheaper as they already sell hundreds of them. If you do buy one don't panic when you think they have missed out the link pipe as it's located within the secret compartment at the bottom of the box. ![]() ![]() |

Give them a ring. They are a friendly bunch and will not treat you like an idiot. Their number is 01253 877900.
Not convinced of the benefit of a high level can as it restricts your luggage options, and at the end of the day this is supposed to be a sports tourer. ![]() |

Mark_h: Glad you like it! its got to be the best £117.50 iv'e ever spent
![]() I think you'll be shocked when you remove the baffle, it may not be much difference in diameter but it's certainly a louder noise, rolling down the hill from my house on overun it sets off the car alarms as i pass!! ![]() Kjames: they do a high level, its just a different link pipe. ![]() |
