I need a pair of front forks for my brother's Y2K SV650S.
Maybe you upgraded to GSXR forks and want to sell your old front forks? As long as they're in good condition, send me your price and I'll consider. Thanks. |

Hi Zunkus, I hope you're brother hasn't had another incident with a local car driver?

Got a pair that are slightly bent, not kinked and fit up pretty straight, only noticeable when spun, so will straighten ok, not sure what motorliners charge, but its not alot, or I can do stanchions for £90 each.
Make me an offer if they're any use |

I've got a pair that'll be for sale very soon, there in good nic with ohlins springs, just had new seals and oil (10w) and striped ready for painting or polishing
only prob is i'm doing a conversion and should be fitting it in the next couple of weeks, so if your patient you can have first refusals |

No My brother's fine John. Thanks for the concern. The thing is that when he had the accident I changed the upper tubes but left the lowers. I also changed the wheel shaft and one of the disc rotors which was also bent. When I fitted everything up the shaft was very hard to screw in a the last few threads and wheel alignment was hard to do. I managed to align it in the end but my brother always complain since then that the bike never felt as good as new. He thinks, and it mkes sense that the lower forks must be a bit bent although they seem fine. There's no way of measuring any bents there so we thought we'd change the whole things.
So SVRASH tell me what price you want for your forks and I'll see what little brother thinks and I'll let you know. I ythink he'll wait for your conversion if it's worth it. Robw#70 as you can see this is not the case to keep any doubts so sorry mate. |

I will read your msg at work next Tuesday as my email account is there and took a few days off. Extra long weekend, the weatherman said its gonna be sunny so thought I'd dry off from all the damp the bad weather we had last. Just popped in for dinner, now a small nap and I'm off again. It's been a while since I started my bike and was afraid it wouldn't. It did and the easiest way to charge the battery is to blast up down the island. Hehe don't you agree ![]() |
