dammit, pressed the wrong button so I can't vote now.

I do minor stuff like oil changes, filters and plugs and things myself. I have the mechanical skill of a dead hedgehog so if I can anyone can. Get a haynes and get stuck in

It's going to a garage for the major service (15k miles) in a few weeks. It's re-assuring to get it looked over by a pro every now and again, make sure I havn't done anything life-threateningly stupid to it.

I do everything bar tyre changing myself. Though if something goes wrong that's a one-shot fix (ie, a broken bolt) I'll take it to the pros.

I do the minor services, let the garage do the majors - only because I don't now have time to remove the lowers etc, As I do 16,000 miles year all year round and I have no other transport to get me to work I take the time and reliability issue really seriously

I do everything now although it's been a mighty steep learning curve, I have had good teachers and also enjoy it tremendously

what simon? even when you have to mimic a triple jointed octopus to re-connect the cam chain tensioner and then you drop the bolt into some inaccessible place behind the frame

Yeah it may have seemed like I was not enjoying that bit. But I learnt something new that day and it is now one more job on the list for "can do" and one less on the "don't know how to yet" list.

Well have done some jobs myself but bike due to have her first big service within warranty period anytime now. After that it will only be the jobs that are really awkward or require special equipment or tools that the dealer will do.
I love playing with my bike.
