Scratches on Swing arm - SV650.org

hey, ive noticed some scratches on my swing arm that are actually showing the shiny alloy under neath, and i dont like it as the arm is dull (origional) - what/where or how is the cheapest way to tart it up without going down the road of polishing???

Is there a spot on colour matched paint i could use??? to respray the whole arm??

Take off an easily accessible bit- heel plate if it's a carbed model- and pop into Halfords, just colourmatch by eye. Ford Moondust Silver is fairly close, but it's a metallic so it'll look a bit wrong, and not sand back right. You should be able to get a close match.

I had (have) a similar scratch on my swingarm, I think caused by using my rear axle stand without the necessary care.
I spoke to Suzuki and they don't do touch up paint unfortunately, but there are a few car spray places in the town where I work and they can match by eye due to their experience. I'm planning on popping down to see one of them. But if you can get something as near as dammit from Halfords, then that's probably a better option.

You'll undoubtedly always be able to see it because it's there, but I'd bet most other people would struggle.

Have a look on E-bay there a Chap/Firm who advertises Suzuki touch up paint.

ive got a similar few scratches on the swingarm looks like spike must have caught it a few times with the paddock stand hooks, however its only if you're looking for it. I doubt that you would be able to get a paint match as it doesnt appear to be painted if that makes sense

It isn't painted, its anodised. Paint doesn't like sticking to aluminium, so even if you get a match, it may not last very long. I'd live with it personally. With time, an oxide layer will form on the shiny aluminium and turn it dull.
