Default fairing repair ?

has anyone attempted to repair cracked/broken fairing panels ?

what did u use ? what ammount of skill does it require ?

i have seen some plastic wield somewhere, anyone use it ?

do it all the time, I have an attachment for my heat gun, much depends on what the damage is , are their bits missing, howstrong it has to be.

You can reinforce with plastic of the same type or even bond in with fibreglass if needed.

I use a soldering iron, and bits of another broken fairing as a welding rod. But, I could be wrong, but IIRC some new Honda fairings are polypropylene (or something) rather than the traditional GRP... And it doesn't take so well to repairs.

Default repair or replace

I had a small crack by the left indicator on my K1 curvy. Took it to the "Plastics Surgery" who specialise in M/C fairings, and they quoted £140 plus £12 for the decal. Went on ebay and bought a second hand but totally unmarked mint condition panel for £25 plus P&P. Its work looking around.......

yes i think ebay is going to be my friend.

trouble is . . . its quite a rare fairing panel i need
