Default speedo conversion

Hi all, so having just bought a imported SVk1 I now have to sort out the speedo. Searching this forum it seems that everybody agrees that it's a piece of pi*s. Called some people including Motrax and they also claimed it's a doddle....I'm scared! Anyway, no-one seems to know whether or not the K1 is electric or mechanical speedo reading. Now I know someone here can tell me before I order it.
Oh and wish me luck!

Cheers
Sean

Cheers Sid, will have a word with Chas bikes, see if they can give me a good price on fitting. I think learning curves should be gradual and maybe I should try an oil change first!

The ones I've seen just plug in, find the three pin plug in the wire that goes from the speedo drive on the front wheel into the clocks - It's under the fairing and has a pink wire, an orange and green wire and a black and white wire - disconnect it and plug the converter in-between the two original plugs, job done.

No need for the dreaded spending of your hard earned.

Think I've got one in my tool box, used it on mine for a couple of months until I changed to UK one, it's a two minute plugin jobbie.

I'll have a look if you like?

Cheers Mark.
