Oh 'eck I'm confused now. Just read this months RiDE with the in-depth exhaust article. They fitted 13 different models to a GSXR750 and dynoed the lot baffles in and out, as well as before hand.
I had been thinking about a CCC if I could get a good deal at the Scottish show since they seem very popular. Trouble is that the mag reckoned that Scorpion had got the fuelling better balanced than anyone else in the test. I've spotted that many of you have also chosen Scorpion cans and that their finish looks pretty good. It would also seem that many aren't exactly chuffed with the alignment of the CCC in relation to the swingarm. Is the Scorpion better in this respect? I'm not too fussed about power gain or volume as such, but would like to retain optimum fuel economy whilst gaining a slimmer, lighter and nicer sounding can. If I can get this without a remap, I'd be happier. Thanks for the input. Garry ![]() |

What other exhausts did they test?
TBH testing them on a gixxer is probably very different to a vtwin, dunno if it would be comparable? Maybe, I dunno, dunno much really...... |

The scorpion on my '04 is very good, sounds nice and gives a crisp power delivery. Doesn't seem so responsive when I put the baffle in though, not that that happens often. Finish seems good too.

I had a Scorpion on my SV. On full throttle it sounded the mutts, but tickover and low revs it was kinda raspy. Not as bass'y as some other cans. Well made though.

Hmm - Raspy seems to crop up a few times. Visited the Scorpion site and listened to their sound sample. It too sounded a little raspy to MY ear.
Next question then- Has anyone with a CCC Stainless Oval fitted noticed a difference in their fuel consumption at all? Cheers, Garry |
