I wonder if the injured party was laying there in the back of the car and suddenly thought - there could be a compensation claim in this for me!

A bit of gaffer here, bit of puddin there

Seriously, they have brought that for 3700 quid. A new shell is about 6 grand, so all in i reckon if you have the time and money, it'll be a 54 plate jag for about 19 grand

Or £5k's worth of spares

Same thing happened to an acquaintance of mine. Not such an expensive car mind! Not the point though as he couldn't afford to buy a new one and he was TPF&T so no insurance cover. Seriously out of pocket. He actually drove the injured person to the hospital. Went in to get a wheelchair for them and when the staff assessed the injured person they decided to cut the roof off!

I'd like to think if I was responsible for that I'd at least lobby the insurance company for the driver to get some kind of recompense.

Not that it says the circumstances, but I always thought you werent supposed to move somebody who'd been in an accident unless their life was seriously in danger.

Note to self, dont put accident victims into own car
