Default *%$#ing Insurance Companies !!!

Get a call from my dealer this morning...

"Steve, just to confirm, you're picking the SV up on Thursday now..."

"No, we said Wednesday"

"That's what I thought, but the insurance docs have come through and they say the 23rd, not 22nd"

I checked as the policy also arrived with me toda. Bloody Motorcycle Direct cocked the dates up, and now I can't pick the SV up tomorrow, have to waiit until Thursday, which is a pain, as I have a couple of things on, and I wanted to pick it up in daylight to get some decent pictures.

Not happy.... Not much I can do about it though as the dealer needs to tax the bike, and can't do it without the insurance....

Nothing ever seems to be straight forward, does it? There's always 3 or 4 phonecalls required to chase up these muppets- and I'm not just talking about insurance companies. Banks, estate agents, you name it....

Enjoy the new SV! A 3 bike family now, eh?!

get the insurance company to fax a temporary cover note to your dealer showing you have insurance for tomorrow. They can change the date of your cover

Oh, its for the tax disc? I thought they could do it electronically over the internet site now, so no need to provide the documents. Maybe its different for first registrations. And your insurance broker wont send one out today special delivery? Go on - push them - it was their fault

Well it's too late now, and the appointment that I had on Thursday has been moved, so it's not all bad.

I might pop over to the dealer tomorrow and take a few pics..

but hold on...

they can tax the vehicle with the cover note they have got and you can arrange over the phone to change the date a day earlier....

it makes no odds surley??

bummer though...

They need the original copy of the cover note. I got told the same today when I went to the dealer to sort out the deposit on the GSXR I've just bought.
