Anyone had problems getting to lowers fitted to the bike? Its almost impossible without scratching them. And mine seem to fit really well one side and not so great the other side. I looked at the brackets that hold them on and also the crash mushrooms and they are not symetrical both sides. Anyone had probs with that stupid tape to stop the bodywork rubbing? I think the lower fairings were an afterthought!!!!!1

I fitted mine ok, the larger bracket one with the longer bolt goes on the exhaust side..
I fitted mine in two seperate parts joining them at the bottom, last. But yes the Left hand side was a pig to fit.

I can get them on ok except for the bolt on the offside/rhs/exhaust side that goes into the lower hole in the radiator wont align properly ..... see my earlier post ..
http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=35391 I've got R&G bungs on mine which saves all the messing aroung trying to get the orginal brackets lined up correctly. I agree it's not the best design in the world. Either that or we're a bit inept ! |
