Default The end of the road

Today is the day that I part company with my one remaining vehicle, my dear little car

Whilst I'm not as emotionally attached to it as I was to my bike, this is nevertheless going to mean a significant shift in lifestyle - probably the biggest change I've had to face so far as a result of my vision loss.

So I am now offically pedestrian, publicly transported and a major-league bummer of rides. I promise not to step off the pavement without looking both ways first, but cannot account for the actions of London bus drivers or black cabs .

And for those of you who have forgotten, or weren't here to witness it, I was a biking goddess!

May you have sped through all the Gatsos on the wy home yesterday from Hastings!!

Im sure that there will always be a line of pillon pads and passenger seats lined up outside your residence.

Still a sad day though.

Indeed you were once one of the wonderful hooligans of the Massive, sorry to hear this Debs, at least you know there'll always be a pillion for you. The good news is it'll be cheaper and you can always be gently inebriated .

Well Debs it was great to see you yesterday, it has to be good to know that the last great trip in the car helped frozen bikers to enjoy a good hot cup of coffee at Hastings, a genuine red cross effort!

I and many others here I'm sure would be more than happy to give you lifts over the summer if we're going somewhere good

What Lee said, I've had some vision problems before and what I have wrong with my right eye if it escalates could lead to blindness. When I first found out about it I was absoloutly sh*tting myself. I can relate to what you've been going through.

Take care of yourself

Does doing a big shop at Sainsbury's count as good?

BTW, I've got some odds and sods of car bits on ebay if anyone's interested.
