Default Panels Annoyed

I've just found out that the panels on a 99 svs are different from a 01 svs, there is an extra tab on the front. That's bloody annoying.

...and why is it annoying? It does not make a difference , fitment wise AFAIK.

Cheers
Ben

yes it does.. as a panel from a 01 will not go on a 99... it works ok the other way round but thats not what I wanted. well unless I hack the tab off which I'd rather not.

The panel actually changed in 99. I got a replacement panel and I had to do what Ben said. Hack the little fecker off. It will be fine. Use a sharp blade. Piece of cake.

Right this cropped up a while back when Benji was ordering tabs, a 2001 centre pannel will take a '99 side pannel fine (as there's a slot but no tab) but not vice-versa.

As this is not documented on any Microfishe etc, Benji managed to blang a centre and additional side fairing for next to nowt by emailing into suzuki and being indignant and asking for other plastics to fit it. Worth a shot as you can reasonably say you don't want to hack the tab off as it would be down to you to check you didn't screw it up, and if you dammage the pannel you're left out of pocket.

Ah, I thought I'd got an SV400 panel. I got one with one less tab.
