Default K5 Bike & Hamicad Pics

TC3 .....

Not great pics but as requested. The Hamicad does leave small gaps...

And

So I do know what you mean but before you pointed out I hadn't particularly noticed. Even with the gaps there is Hamicad metal behind it so if its water your worried about /shrug

A side profile..

While I am here I may as well show one or two other mods done recently....

This one here is the front colour coded inidcators, tbh the pic doesn't do them justice...

And here is a crap pic of the digi indicator I installed, dropped it into the dash using a rubber grommit......much better that the velcro attachment is comes supplied with imo...

Side view, work still to be done :P

Sorry about quality of pics.

Now I need to change that screen and can

Pingu, is your bike an import?? Only reason I ask is the orange reflector on the forks in the last pic. All the K5s I could find on this site don't seem to have it and I seem to remember reading somewhere that some places require them. Or is it something you've put on yourself?

Anyway, lovely bike, and next time your backs turned I may try and steal your garage

Aye its an import, wasn't aware that the non imported don't have the reflectors, in fact the back snow shovel had two more also on the sides.

Pingu thanks for posting the pics. Yep that is the gap i was on about and just felt they needed covering as soon or later they will let it dirt from the wheels.

I have a ccc can but i find their link pipe does not let the can run nice and close to the body in a straight line so something to think about when you get a can. Will be buying a high level link pipe and remove those rear footpegs just to finish it off.

Great improvement over the ugly snow shovel but a hugger may be a good idea for your list also

Thought about this a lot, the problem is I don't like them. I wouldn't put a colous coded one on the bike as it would bring attention to it, maybe if I could find a matt black one I would do it for practical reasons.

I just like the look of the bare tyre tbh, we are all different I guess

Pingu...I also found that it ws virtually impossible to have the CCC end can run parallel with the bike.No matter how I tried it did always "flair out" slightly toward the back of the bike. That really cheesed me off but did have doubts that it was just me! Great sound though!

Agreed the sound is awesome but now with the hamicad, smaller plate and leds it seems the can flairs out even more and so a high mount is next on the cards so all i need is the bits to mount it and the link pipe

Mates bandit has the same can but runs parallel and looks better and i really think ccc need to alter the link pipe for the low down exhaust

Sorry Dan didn't see your Q.

The indicators were bought off Ebay and supplied from Hong Kong (took about two weeks) well worth the wait though as the colour coding is spot on and £24 for 4 not bad price either.

Be warned though all are short stemmed which is fine for the front but even with a smaller number plate caused me problems at the back. To get round it I used black tap washers which you can not notice but push that indicator another inch or so out.

If you can't find the place Dan let me know and I will dig you out a link.
