Default Lucky Number Slevin

Not usually in my brief to review movies, but Raf and I caught this one last night (his choice).

It was brilliant, despite the gory bits Almost Shakespearean farce-comic-tragic plotline.

I won't spoil it by saying anything other than it was a top movie . Go see it.

(did you notice how I didn't even mention the bit about Josh in a bath towel? Something for everynoe here....)

My gf took me to see this for my BD. She didn't like the fact that it was "utterly devoid of emotion" I pointed out that:

a) The film focused on contract killers. Not lovestruck teenagers.
b) Can't go into details due to ruining the plot, but you know, the love interest bit.
c) With all the twist and turns, keeping it stripped back and minimal made it easier to follow.

I really liked the clever flat delivery of almost all the dialogoue, too.

Good film. Don't think I'll buy it on DVD/go out of my way to watch it again, but definately worth going to see.
