Default fork preload

Hi
picked up my svs 650 on Saturday , first impressions great , tyres are so so ( never liked Dunlops) however as weather is so poor will wear them out before fitting Diablos or BT014'S
The forks feel like a set of hagon springs & 15 w oil would do the trick , however until I get spring / oil done , is it worth firming the preload from std ?
I weigh 15 stone , so I would have thought that adding a bit of preload , would get the forks to work in a better range for my weight .
Obviously oil & springs will be the better solution .

Cheers Steve

i am 13.5 to 14 stone and cranked on all the preload and still needed to go stiffer with the springs and oil.

there are many many articles on the net about setting the ride height use these articles and get the sag setup correct if you can ,thats where the preload comes in .

05 naked, 205 lb rider. Cranked the preload all the way, made a huge improvment. Preload is not the answer to springs meant for a lighter rider, but it did help in my case, front end no longer dives to the stops on hard braking. Ride is still pretty plush for a mid size sport standard. Fork oil to be changed to 15W as the weather warms up.

cheers dude

Will give it a try , like u will fit 15W oil & propablly hagon springs fairly soon.

To be honest with the weather like it is at the moment I can live with it.

Cheers Steve
