I'm looking at the ACE-37xx/38xx clocks, anyone have them on a curvey naked??
==> http://www.banditmania.co.uk/digital_clocks.htm Do all the functions work like fuel, high beam and signals on the curvey naked??? Tach and Speedo?? Can you preset the odometer to your current odometer readings?? Does it have a backlight so you can see it at night?? Also any pictures of the real thing on a bike?? Cheers! ![]() |

It says it has a backlight, you buy the correct model depending on what your old clocks had, eg. on a curvey there is no point in getting the one with hazzards as it never had it in the first place and does not have the wire to do it.

Or you can buy a cycle one from Argos for just a few pounds which does all the same things ( except the rpm ) and works in just the same way.
I fitted one to my DR350 to get max speed / average speed for events. |

Cycle ones don't have the idiot lights... Which I think may be an MOT requirement where the indicators aren't visible. And rev counter's a bit handy too.
According to Banditmania, wiring up the Acewells to an SV is fairly simple- they've had good feedback from customers. SVs have fairly simple, "dumb looms", which means that most of the time one wire does one thing. If the round Acewells were about 50% bigger, I'd happily call them the best thing since sliced bread. But I reckon they're just a wee bit too small to be perfect. Very clear, considering. If I do nakedise the bike, which is the long-term plan, at the moment they'd be the obvious choice.

Didn't see the round ones, yes they certainly look a lot better. Not cheap though.
