Default Road rage gone way too far!

Well we have all read comments here on the forum regarding disputes with motorists and how, doors have been kicked or mirrors snapped off vehicles. I was not always so diplomatic myself but I have mellowed somewhat.

The thing is you never really know how that driver is going to react,or what he might have in his car that despite you being fully kitted up he could use as a weapon against you.

However the link below recounts an absolutely dreadfull talePlease do not attempt humour based on the fact that the guy was riding a Harley!)

Hand him over to some of the slightly unpleasant Harley riders over there

kill him the same way the poor biker was killed.

why do some people just have the "face" of a killer? does that make sense? there are people you see in newspapers and on TV accused of heinous crimes that just look nasty. whether its because i know they're already guilty from the news report that my mind is tuned that way, or whether there's something behind it.

i dunno.

i do know i waffle tho.

carry on.

"Tucson Police Department news release. Schoenherr was not wearing a helmet"

I dont condone what the guy did but it sounds like he died of a head injury. What is it with Harley Riders? Don't Harley's fall over?

If any of you see me out without my lid on feel free to knock me off.

Diveboy...we do not know that his injuries were definately head, although I accept there is a good chance. Although being catapulted off your bike in to a stationery vehicle could do a lot of other damage too.

I personally feel the lack of a helmet in this instance has nothing to do with the sheer outrageous action by this piece of dirt.

Let's remember also that Harley's are a part of the American way of life, not all Harley owners are tattood, bearded bat eaters. Many are just normal people that love their bikes',just like us.

This was also in a State were the wearing of a crash helmet is not obligatory.

Just outlines the increasing lack of regard for life. It's like going back into the dark ages.

BUT they're american!

Dont take the above comment seriously. I've loved my visits to the USA and would glady move there tomorrow.

I dont think I need telling how bad road rage can be - even if it sets in after an accident.

But this is precisely the reason I always advocate riding on and leaving the driver behind if someone does something stupid. Kicking off something may make you feel better for making your point - doubtful as it just lets your temper take control though - but all it takes is for a driver to "accidentally" clip you and its you whos the one likely to get hurt. Its that perspective that allows me to take a deep breath and just shake my head and go.

We are extremely vulnerable to injuries on the road. Riding in a temper and making someones anger worse by damaging their car doesnt help the situation or other riders behind you who may have to deal with someone like this who loses it and doesnt care.
