Default Bit sneaky or just tuff luck?

Apologies if this has been asked before but a letter landed from my local constabulary asking for £60 in trade for 3 points.

Got photo evidence and it's of the bike travelling away from mobile unit.

I always thought that mobile units (20-20's) could only get you travelling towards them. If they can catch you driving away from them, isn't that a bit sneaky?

I know Gatso's work on you driving away from them but that was about it.

Some mobiles can be used both ways.

Take the £60 offer. I'm assuming because they made it you have no points on your licence already - so it keeps you in the clear, and if you stay that way for three years then offend again (under the 'right' circumstances), you'll be made the offer again.

I guess you could say that if you spread you speeding out over the years, and keep it minor - you can still stay with a clean licence.

K, i could be wrong but i think he means he gives then 60 of his hard earned notes and they give him 3 pretty points in return.

Doesn't 3 points constitute your licence as being "slightly soiled" rather than clean.

Ahhh, got ya.

I thought perhaps he'd been offer the nice yet often elusive deal of £60 and a trip to a one day safety course instead of £60 and three points.

Just me reading things wrong...

TBH, speedign's speeding whether you're in front of, behind, or directly above the car. If the gear's accurate while you move away then I don't think you've got much cause to complain... Though obviously, it does completely suck.

Take it on the chin unless you feel you were not speeding. We all speed yet complain when caught. I know it sucks and I do symapthise as thus far I have been lucky.
