Default CBT Done, no disasters fomr me...

...But one guy rode his CG125 in to the wall after an hour. Never ridden anything bigger than a pushbike, forgotten how to use a clutch, everything. Lots of kangaroo madness and then PUNT into the wall. Poor bloke. Still, better it was a wall for him and not some huge great arctic truck!

I got through, so now its a case of getting a bit more confidence on the road on my own (got the scooter for that!) and then back to do some training in july, in preparation for the Big One!!!

ZXR400 on the way (sv650s idea thrown out the window on the back of a cruise missile as insurance is too high for me ) soon after that i hope!

Fantastic day, even enjoyed riding me little CG! Instructor took the **** and rode around and around in circles at about 25 degrees lean while we all struggled doing one half-turn in the road...

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Back to the chemistry in the mean time, 2nd year final exams looming

Excellent stuff. Looking back the CBT is a little too easy I feel. Get as much on road practice with a geared bike if possible. Scooters are fine but on the test it's all about controlling the bike with brakes, gears and the clutch. Go for it!

good look mate and remember practice what you learned in your CBT. Your DAS is just testing to see if you have learned and put down to second nature what you have done in your CBT. Dont get lazy and start missing mirrors and life savers out because your not being tested when you are out on your scoot, its very easy to develop bad habits that can pop up when you do your DAS.

Good stuff, glad you had a good day. Keep focused!

I remember my CBT - complete waste of time - shows that there are severely varying standards out there.

Nice one mate. Those little CG's are pretty fun when you rev the nuts off them.

About the insurance thing, I don't think you've phoned around enough. The zxr400 is an insurance group 12 bike, the sv is a 10 I believe. Phone around, trust me.
