Default white paste in airbox tube

Was doing some work on the SV this week and took the airbox off. The air pipe to the rear cylinder seems to be full of like white emulsion. seems to be running OK but dont know whats causing it. Any Ideas or explanations would be welcome.

I take it you mean the crankcase breather tube.

Well, that'll be water in yer oil. Check for it in the sightglass. If there's none there, I wouldn't worry too much in the short term.

How much in the pipe, BTW?

is your bike (due to sh*t weather) only used for commuting and short runs only
i found when its cold and the bike was being used for about a 10 mile round trip to work i was getting a white mist and a small amount of white sludge in the air box.
yesterday before it threw it down i was out on a nice long run the mist had gone from the sight glass and (because i cleaned the airbox out the day before) no sludge in airbox.
i think its condensation building up and not getting up to temperature long enough to burn it off
used to have the same problem with my old yammy 600 divvy
hope this helps

Cheers
Only used for the 7 mile trip to wo work and back at the moment. Oil looks clean in the sight glass (but too much in there at the moment, will have to drain some out when I get home from work) tubes is not clogged with it but a fair amount.
